Read more Some of the Samsung Galaxy S26’s newest AI features will be coming to the Galaxy S25 series, and it’s seemingly all thanks to fan pressure. Samsung launched its Galaxy S26 flagship phone serie a month ago with a host of new AI-powered features, including the likes of call screening and Creative Studio, as well as a souped-up Bixby assistant. For a number of Samsung Galaxy S25 owners, the silence has been deafening with regard to any sort of confirmation that these AI features would be coming to last year’s premium models. Over on Reddit (via Android Authority), Galaxy S25 fans have been complaining about the lack of meaningful updates in recent weeks. The One UI 8.5 refresh still hasn’t received a full release, nor has Airdrop compatibility arrived on older phones. According to a recent post on the Samsung Community forums (as highlighted by X user Tarun Vats), Samsung is readying a software update that will add “even more advanced Galaxy AI features”, including call screening, to the Galaxy S25 series. In fact, the notice says “including the Galaxy S25 series,” so older models like the S24 and S23 ranges might get them too. The update will apparently coincide with the launch of One UI 8.5 for Samsung’s previous flagship series. When to expect One UI 8.5 We don’t have any firm dates on the One UI 8.5 update as yet, and we can likely expect the company’s home market to receive the enhancements first. It’s good to know that a solution is at hand, however. Samsung has been expanding its One UI 8.5 beta programme to more and more Galaxy phones of late. Towards the end of March, the company brought the early build of its latest Android customisation to a host of older devices, including the Galaxy S24 series. Just how many of Samsung’s very latest AI features will be coming to those pre-Galaxy S25 handsets remains to be seen.
