After Mendoza is picked first overall, New York has been connected to two players. However, this latest update indicates a decision may be made. Before the clock starts, teams are taking their final meetings with prospects. Earlier today, it was reported that the team just canceled a visit. Jets Cancel Prospect Visit as NFL Draft Decision Nears The 2026 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 23. The annual event starts with the first round, and 32 young men’s lives will change forever. Hughes shared on Wednesday that the team canceled a top-30 visit with Bailey. To elaborate, a top-30 visit is a private meeting in which NFL teams allow up to 30 prospects to come to the facility. During these meetings, teams conduct medical reviews, interviews, and film studies. These meetings provide front offices & coaching staff to gain more first-hand knowledge on a prospect. After three years at Stanford, the Irvine, California native transferred to Texas Tech in 2025. It was a decision that proved to be fruitful for Bailey. During his senior year, Bailey co-led the NCAA in sacks with 14.5 sacks, along with Western Michigan edge rusher Nadame Tucker. Bailey’s production helped the Red Raiders reach the College Football Playoff before losing to Oregon in the Orange Bowl. After a strong NFL Combine, Bailey had sealed his fate as a future top-five draft pick. Will the Jets pick Arvell Reese with the Second Overall Pick? With just over a week until the NFL Draft, what is the significance of canceling Bailey’s visit? Well, it could be a strong indicator that New York will pick Arvell Reese after all. With Bailey’s visit canceled, Mougey could indicate the team is comfortable with bringing in the Ohio State linebacker to join head coach Aaron Glenn’s roster. After all, the Jets already hosted Reese for a top-30 visit. Despite Bailey’s experience as a full-time edge rusher, Reese has a lot of fans among scouts. After splitting time between weakside linebacker & edge rusher, Reese was a versatile weapon in the Buckeyes defense. Due to Reese’s impactful first step and surgical-like timing, Reese manages to reach the backfield consistently. I've been going back and forth on three options and can't figure out which makes the most sense at this budget: New Chinese carbon bike — brands like Twitter, Elves, or similar. Seems like you can get a full carbon setup with decent components for the money, but I'm not sure how the quality, safety, or after-sales support holds up, especially for someone who can't yet evaluate a carbon frame for damage. Quality used bike — I know $1,500 can go a lot further second hand. Which specific models would you recommend at my height and this budget? I've seen names like Specialized Allez, Giant Defy, Canyon Endurance, Trek Domane thrown around — but open to suggestions.
